I got the same problem, I'll try your solution. I'm using Epson L220 with Windows 7.
ReplyDeleteIn the end of scanning process, my scanner always "Cannot write the file" Epson Bitmap.
ReplyDeleteThank You, very very much. It solved the problem so easily.
ReplyDeleteI had sent several mails to Epson, had also written in their Facebook page,Twitted them but the morons at Epson probably don't know what to do, so they didn't bother to respond. If they had known, they would have fixed this problem.
Was a Canon user for last 18 years, no problems faced. Switched to Epson L850 as Canon doesn't market 6-ink printers in India. Will definitely prevent others from buying Epson products.
Thank You again.
I tried to fix my wife's grandfather's scanner. It wouldn't save to any of the user profile locations, so I created a directory at C:\Scans and pointed the program there.
ReplyDeleteThis worked, but only for a couple of months. It suddenly won't save (any file type) to C:\Scans any more. I made sure all users had write permissions, but to no avail. I downloaded and installed the latest version of the scanner software but it didn't help. I finally had to settle for saving to C:\, which is the only location it will save to any more, nevermind that for the sake of organization this isn't the ideal location.
I won't be surprised if at some point it won't save to C:\ any more, at which point I'll try installing some third-party software.
